Wemindji Canoe Expedition
During the Old Factory Visit a group of adventurous youth paddle down the Old Factory River from the headwaters of the Old Factory Lake to the mouth of the river where it exits into James Bay. This is the historical route that was travelled for ages by the Cree of James Bay. The youth are usually accompanied by elders who serve as guides.
